  • 8 tuna steaks, 4 ounces each
  • 2 tbsp. Durkee® Blackened Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp. butter or cooking oil
  • 1 ½ lb. salad greens
  • 6 oz. (1 cup) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 2 oz. red onions, sliced
  • Salad dressing as desired


  1. Coat tuna steaks in seasoning. Heat butter or cooking oil in heavy skillet or grill. Cook tuna 3 to 4 minutes per side or until fish is at least medium rare.
  2. Top salad greens with oranges and onions. Serve shingled tuna steak on top. Excellent with a raspberry poppyseed or honey mustard dressing.
